Scott Kellogg has been playing bass guitar since he was a teen. In other words, since dinosaurs roamed the land. His recording career began while he was in high school, when Purdue-based hardcore band Reality vs. This made a cassette with producer/engineer Paul Mahern at Hit City studios in Indianapolis.
Despite being enrolled as an English major, Scott studied jazz and web development at Indiana University, two topics he still loves. During this time, he played local, regional, and national shows with such artists as Carrie Newcomer, Slats Klug, and Amanda Pearcy, as well as events with his own bands.
Scott is the founder of ReasonStation, a website dedicated to the innovative software studio Reason, as well as Elektron-Users, a site for enthusiastic users of synthesizers and drum machines created by the Swedish company Elektron. Additionally, he organized and performed at several regional electronic music festivals.
An artist and educator of eclectic interests, Scott has been teaching bass guitar and electronic music production both publicly and privately throughout his career. He is especially passionate about facilitating an environment where students feel comfortable, accepted, and free to reveal their authentic selves through music in a safe environment.
Scott currently plays in the local jazz ensemble Splattertones, as well as in the seminal American hardcore band Zero Boys.
